Event Format
How Points are determined:
Here’s the point system we’ll use for 2009. There are some changes from previous years:
For each class, there will be an Class Championship.
• Each class championship will be determined based only on their class finish positions in each race.
• The point scale used is equal to the number of people in the largest class.
There will also be an Overall Performance Award.
• All classes and drivers are eligible.
• Points are earned by calculating how close a drivers’ average race lap time compares to their qualifying time.
• The point scale used will be equal to the total number entrants.
We have four classes.
SUPER
250 cc twins and singles, 450 cc four strokes and other “exotic” karts.
SHIFTER
125 cc adult gearbox karts.
TAG
All adult electric start, one speed karts.
Other adult karts may be included depending on performance.
CHALLENGE
Slower performance karts.
Junior and or slower drivers will be permitted to run based how fast they run. Too large of a speed/lap time difference and the junior will not run. We will attempt to have a lower cost Junior/Rookie school and driving session be available, advance notice required. It may be necessary to have the slower karts run practice only.
